History
A high-quality history education helps children gain a coherent understanding and knowledge of Britain’s past and that of the wider world. At the Minster Junior School, history is taught via a creative curriculum, largely in chronological order, recognising the importance of teaching topics that are both engaging and meaningful to the children.
History helps children to start to understand the complexity of people’s lives, the process of change, the diversity of societies and relationships between different groups, as well as explore their own identity. Our history teaching inspire pupils’ curiosity and requires the children to think critically, weigh evidence and draw conclusions.
