Ospreys enjoying their reading!
In Ospreys, we continued to read our class text ‘Children of the Benin Kingdom’.
Children of the Benin Kingdom is a fast-paced historical adventure novel by British Nigerian author Dinah Orji. It follows a 12-year-old girl named Ada who journeys deep into the West African rainforest to uncover her true heritage and heal divisions within the ancient Edo Kingdom of Benin.
Children were then taught range of literary skills which they applied to their own re-write of some of the story.
